Los Angeles has already legalized tiny homes on wheels: portable living units that can be parked in the backyards of single-family homes or on underutilized public property to provide transitional housing quickly and affordably. The San Jose Conservation Corps is driving the charge to legalize and use a similar model in San Jose in order to house students currently experiencing housing insecurity.
